Sheree Le'Shawn (she/they) is an emerging mixed-media artist from Omaha. Their analog and digital photography-based art reflects her nuanced experiences of a Black, queer woman in the Midwest, exploring the complexities of intersectional identity. Inspired by artists like Lorna Simpson and Robert Mapplethorpe, Sheree delves into themes of trauma, vulnerability, resilience, and intimacy. Exhibited at Petshop Gallery, Tugboat Gallery, Apollon Art Space, and Radial Arts Center, Sheree holds a Bachelor's degree in Studio Art from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
