Marin Mowat is an Omaha native, working primarily in oil painting and mixed media. A recent BFA graduate in Studio Art from the University of Notre Dame, her large-scale works combine traditional oil painting with textile, drawing, and other materials. In an homage to Nebraska’s natural world, her pieces illuminate moments of change in nature that evade literal representation and instead must be felt. In addition to her studio practice, she brings art into everyday spaces through window displays at Anthropologie and the Omaha Children’s Museum.
