Hot Shops Art Center’s 19th Annual
Spring Open House

Since 2001, the annual Hot Shops Art Center’s Open House has become an Omaha favorite. The 80+ artists occupying and exhibiting in 58 studios and shops warmly invite you to visit their spaces, view their very newest artwork and learn how they create them!

The artwork created at the art center ranges from drawings, paintings, prints, photography and digital imagery to sculptures, installations, pottery, glass art, weaving, custom furniture, and clay, iron, brass, and aluminum cast architectural pieces.


Saturday, April 25th, 2020 (from 12pm to 8pm)
Sunday, April 26th, 2020 (from 12pm to 5pm)


Bronze pouring, clay work and raku firings, iron forging, and glass blowing are taking place in the south side of the building, plus many of the artists will also be demonstrating their work in the studios, such as painting, sculpture, and photography...


Food vendors display their arts at the Shops in our Event Space. Follow your nose.

Hot Shops Art Center is located at 1301 Nicholas Street, just one block north of TD Ameritrade Park's home plate.

The open houses are positivly the best time to see the Hot Shops in all its glory. Almost all of the artist studios are open for visitors. There are organized art displays, artist demonstrations, and gallery shows, plus it’s family friendly. It's a different adventure everytime!

The Open House is a bi-annual event. The Winter Open House is held on the first weekend of December every year, while the Spring Open House is generally held on the last weekend of April. Please check this page for the latest.

There is limited street parking around the Hot Shops Art Center. During an open house parking is available around The Mastercraft building parking lot just north of 13th and Nicholas Streets.

Please make note of the parking lots reserved for the apartment building just west of the Hot Shops. Do NOT park there, They will tow your car!
