From the small child to the serious art collector, the Holiday Open House fits everyone's taste. The event features fun and informative art demonstrations and live music, with residents of the Hot Shops opening their studios to the public. All of the galleries host events. Local acoustic musicians will perform throughout the center. We invite the community to visit the Hot Shops Art Center and experience a unique Omaha art venue.

ARTWORK: The artwork created at the Art Center ranges from drawings, paintings, prints, photography and digital imagery to sculptures, installations, pottery, glass art, weaving, custom furniture, and clay, iron, brass, and aluminum cast architectural pieces. Visit the studio artists section for a small sampling of their work.

DEMONSTRATIONS:
Ever wondered what it takes to make a bronze sculpture or glaze a pot? The artist’s process is revealed as Hot Shops residents show the public how they perform their craft--entertaining and educational!

GALLERIES: Artists show their work on a continuous basis in our art galleries. Check the galleries link for more information, a list of openings and scheduled events.

First, Second & Third Floor Hallway/Artways: These extra wide passageways throughout the building are filled with artwork created by Studio Artists. The artists generally hang new pieces just for the open house, so don't forget to tour all of the floors within the Hot Shops.
