Lampworking |
This bead making class consists of approximately three hours of safety, demos and hands-on experience for making and decorating your own lampwork glass beads. The $125.00 cost of the class covers all the materials, glass, supplies and equipment. This beginning class is setup so everything is provided and you leave with a basic knowledge of safety and skills in making lampwork beads. This is a private class but arrangements can be made in advance for more students. |

Come Create It!
Our “Come Create It” workshop experiences allow you two or more hours with a skilled, professional artist. From African Drumming to Painting to Jewelry Making to Sock Monsters – our “Come Create It” workshops are great for anyone needing a pathway to their creativity! All workshops are held at Hot Shops Art Center, 1301 Nicholas St., Omaha, NE, unless otherwise noted on the OCI website.

Sign Up for Life Drawing
Life Drawing Sessions continue in the 1st Floor Events Center at the Hot Shops Art Center on Tuesday evenings from 6 to 8:30 pm.
The cost for eight 2 1/2 hour sessions is $65.00 payable in advance. If your schedule doesn’t allow you to commit for 4 consecutive weeks, you may DROP-IN any session for $12 ($10 students & retired). Artists from beginner to professional are welcome. The room is very large and well-lit. Easels, tables, and chairs are provided for use. Models are professionally trained. The model holds five 2-minute warm-up poses, one 10-minute pose, two varied 25-minute poses, followed by one 45-minute pose. Emphasis is on pencil drawing, charcoal, and pastels.
An Annual Life Drawing Exhibition will be held at one of the main Hot Shops Galleries complete with a formal opening with refreshments. All participants of Drawing from Life Sessions will be invited to show at least one framed drawing.
