ART CHALLENGE 2010
Extended deadline!!! December 31st, 2009 (Merry Christmas).
To be shown at Hot Shops Art Center, Omaha, Nebraska.

In-studio Artist, Randi Hunter, has provided the impetus art piece for the 2010 challenge. The purpose of Art Challenge is to invoke a visual comparison between various artistic interpretations of a given subject and/or scene. The Goal; to spark discussions, broaden views concerning like or similar works and provide a showcase for dissimilar artist to be shown together with adhesion to one scene.

Art Challenge 2010 will be on physical display at Hot Shops Art Center for approximately one month. It will be a juried show with cash awards in the following categories:
Best of Show ~ $500
1st Place in 2D; Painting, Drawing ~ $100
1st Place in Photo, Digital, Print, Collage ~ $100
1st Place in Sculpture ~ $100
1st Place in Fiber; Quilt, Fabric, Paper ~ $100
2nd in each category ~ $50
3rd in each category ~ $25
All winners in each category will be available for viewing on this website for one year. Best in Show and 1st Place winners will remain in Web site archives for permanent viewing.
All submissions must be in jpeg format or actual photos. Two views only per piece. No in progress photos please. Submission of JPEGs or photos must be accompanied by submission form and $20 fee by December 31st, 2009 [extended deadline]. All entries will be previewed with semi final selections being made for juror viewing. Selected Artists will be notified via email, mail, or phone. All selected entries must be delivered by January 25, 2010. Juried Opening Reception will be February 5, 2010, with awards presentation, media coverage and photo documentation. Opening night is free to the public, artist, family and friends.
