There are a few studios open at this time. Please contact the Hot Shops building manager for more information on renting a studio.

Hot Shops Art Center
Bruning Sculpture, Hot Shops Pottery, and Crystal Forge make up the very heart of the Hot Shops Art Center, with the molten nature of their work giving it its “hot” name. We also house over 80 studio artists, as well as four gallery spaces, in our building complex located in downtown Omaha, just north of the Century Link Center at the corner of 13th and Nicholas. Be sure to check out our gallery listings on the Art Galleries page, as this page changes often. With four galleries and three floors of wall space, you'll find a great variety of art during your visit. We regularly update the gallery page, so visit often for our latest events.

Workshops & Art Classes
A wide range of workshops and art classes take place at the Hot Shops Art Center on a continuing basis, ranging from blacksmithing and glassblowing, to drawing and painting. Offered from groups to individuals these classes are a great way to flex the creative side of you brain.

Hot Shops Art Center’s
Open House

Our biggest events of the year, the Hot Shops Spring Open House fits everyone’s taste. Held on the first weekend of May and December, the event features fun and informative art demonstrations and live music, with most residents of the Hot Shops opening their studios to the public. All of the galleries host events, and the building walls are filled with art in a wide variety of mediums. We invite the community to visit the Hot Shops Art Center and experience a very unique Omaha art venue.

December 7th & 8th, 2013
Saturday: 12pm-8pm | Sunday: 12pm-5pm

As always, please donate a non-perishable food item for the Food Bank when you visit the Hot Shops Art Center Open House. Collection boxes are always available near the front entrance.
